The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) organizes the State Level Selection Test (SLST) to select qualified subject teachers across government-aided secondary and higher secondary schools in West Bengal.

The recruitment consists of:

1. Preliminary Test (PT): Common screening test in GK, Current Affairs, Mathematics, and Languages.

2. Subject Knowledge Test: Intensive written assessment in the candidate's chosen Honours / Post-Graduate discipline.

3. Evaluation of Academic & Professional Qualifications (B.Ed).

4. Personality Test & Classroom Demonstration / Interview.
